Lycanthropes

There are many different varieties of Lycanthropes, and the details vary from one species to the next.  They are also extremely rare and generally feared and disliked.  As such, speaking to an op is essential for this race. 
In general, lycanthropes are humanoids who can take a bestial form and an animal form, and come in two varieties: true and cursed.  True lycanthropes are those who were born into the breed. They have always been as they are, and can control their shifts from one form to another at will.  Cursed lycanthropes are those who were once another humanoid race, but were infected with lycanthropy via a bite from another lycanthrope.  They cannot control their shifting, being completely at the mercy of the lunar cycles.  They are totally overcome by their animal sides, giving in to the hunt and bloodlust, rarely remembering where they were or what they did when they wake up the next morning, often naked and covered in blood.

* Not all lycanthropes are capable of passing on the curse of lycanthropy. Those with a star are those capable of such.
