I do commissions, and will draw just about anything if you pay me enough, (though I have a strict personal code about drawing massive genitalia/breasts) so if you like my artwork and are interested in having me draw you a picture, let me know.

The price of your commission will obviously depend entirely upon what it is that you want drawn, whether you want a background or not, color or B&W, etc. But here is an approximate list of prices just to give you an idea. If you are interested and want a more accurate estimate, e-mail me at sidian @ sidian . net or contact me via AIM (sidiansilverhawk) and I will get back to you as quick as I can. When you e-mail me, be sure to include what kind of pose you would want, details about your picture, background, etc. The more specific you are, the easier it is for me to get an idea of what you want, and the easier it will be for me to calculate a price.

Keep in mind that these prices are just a rough estimate, perhaps on the high side. The actual price will depend on what exactly it is that you want, how detailed the background is, etc...Just as an FYI, I pretty much despise using colored pencils at this point, hence the higher price for colored pencil work. If you're interested in another media that you have seen in my gallery, let me know.

These prices are negotiable, but don't go thinking you can talk me way down.

Complex backgrounds are a pain in the ass, so I charge more for them. Simple backgrounds (a couch, a tree, sitting on a blanket, etc) are all right, I generally don't charge extra for those.

Also, I may ask for just a little bit more for drawing dragons. The reason for this is that they are so hard to get just right. Furs in general are pretty much uniform, wolves all have the same facial structure, as do foxes, tigers, etc. Dragons, on the other hand, are all different, some have horns, some don't, different snout shape, and so forth, and it can be tedious and time consuming to get the look just the way you want it. You can expect to add $5-$15 to the price of a dragon, depending on the complexity of it.
The same goes for really unique furs with specific markings, clothing, intricate posing, etc. Complex erotic poses will also probably be a bit more. Humans/elves and such may also be more, as I'm still not very good at them and they take a lot of work to get just right.
If you really MUST HAVE the original, I typically charge at least postage, so discuss it with me.

How Commissions work:
1.
Once the description, references etc. are received, I provide a preliminary sketch for approval.
2. Sketch is approved. I'll tweak it a few times to get it to your liking if necessary.
3. I start working on inking/coloring. Once it reaches this stage, there's not a whole lot that can be changed unless the piece is digital.
4. You receive a digital image, at whatever size you prefer (let me know). And if we've arranged an original, I mail it out.
I typically prefer payment at step 1, though I will wait till step 3, but you will not get your finished image until I receive payment.

Conditions:
Some conditions of commissions
1. I retain all the publishing rights of the image. This means that I reserve the rights to sell prints of the image and post it on my website. The art is © me; other people (besides you) may not redistribute it without my permission. You can show it off to whoever you want, put it up on a webpage about your character, whatever, but try not to let it be posted by anyone else.
The characters in the picture are © their creator/player/owner. No matter how often I draw a character, it stays yours, and I cannot and will not draw it without the express permission of the owner. This is pretty standard among artists, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
2. I really dislike sending originals, as a vast majority of touch-ups and coloring is done on the computer, and a fair deal of the commissions I do are digital. If you really want an original, talk to me about it; it'll probably cost about $5-$10 more (that includes shipping, unless you live somewhere really off the map).
3. You can post your picture wherever you like. It's not necessary, but it's nice to know where my art is being posted, so if you give me a url of where it is, that'd be cool. I'll probably forget it in a day anyway.
4. Occasionally there will be a time when I will believe that a drawing would look better colored in a certain way. So unless you DESPERATELY want it colored with a specific medium, I might change my mind and computer color a picture that was requested as a colored pencil, or vice versa. This is a rare occurrence, as it is always my aim to please the customer. And if I do change my mind, I will discuss it with you first and make sure it's all right. Just a bit of a warning. :)

I DO NOT take requests (free art) anymore, simply because I've been getting asked for them too often, and I just can't afford to do them anymore, sorry.
I MIGHT be convinced to do an art trade, depending on my timeframe and whether or not your art impresses me enough. If I turn you down, don't take it personally, I'm just being REALLY picky due to time constraints.

You can either e-mail me or find me on Tapestries or FurryMuck under the nick Sidian. I'm on AIM as sidiansilverhawk and on Yahoo as sidian_silverhawke.
